up, put up, put up. And welcome to another episode of the can be broken podcast. I am your host, c-monster, and this is C-Monster's mindset, and today I wanted to talk about man. How often do we live in the past, like we either sometimes and just never move forward, and that's what's holding us back. Is we stop? We start living in that past of like, oh, my parents did this, or you know, I was raised this way, or my mom did this, or I didn't have this, or I grew up over here, and we start making excuses. We start continuing to make excuses of why we're not where we're at and it was because of where I grew up, or because we didn't have money, because I, my parents, did this and they weren't around and they didn't put me in this situation. And we start investing ourselves and learning of you know many different things, of of how we grew up, and we start investing in our, in our mind, in regards to why is it the way I feel, or why are things the way they are? And that's fine, that's great. That's what we need to do. We need to learn and understand what boundaries mean, what ego means, what feelings are, what therapy is. We need to understand and learn all these concepts and things.
Speaker 1:But we get stuck there. We get stuck in this fucking thing of the victim mindset and we start making excuses of we're not where we're at because these things and because we're there or you have all the knowledge and you know what you don't do. You don't put it into fucking action. All you have is knowledge, and knowledge without action is shit. If you have the knowledge, if you've learned and you invested in yourself, put that into action. Stop talking about your fucking feelings and how you feel and oh my God, and this and that. That was in the fucking past. Who cares? Who gives a fuck? Move forward, find a purpose, get out of that shit. Stop living there and in these feelings and these emotions. Emotions don't do shit for you. They're horrible leaders. Listen to certain things and how you feel. I get that. Get the fuck out of there as soon as possible and start learning how to move forward, how to have a championship mindset, how to overcome, how to not live there anymore. That should surpass, can't be there. What gives a fuck? How you were raised or what you lacked or what you had or what you didn't have or what happened to you. Ok, cool, dive into that. And then how do you get better? Understand how you overcame that, understand how to overcome that. You're investing in your mind so you don't have to go there anymore. And then move forward and stop fucking dwelling on that, making excuses about why you're not where you're at. Take action and do.
Speaker 1:The other thing is so many people I see on Instagram or social media, wherever it might be, whatever social media outlet and they're always posting about base mode and they're in the gym, working out and getting crazy and they look fucking good ripped abs, strong arms, fucking Looking amazing, posting up pictures of them squatting for something and benching three something and on the treadmill and competing here and competing there. The reality of it is that's great. Look, that's your, that's what you want to do Great. But are you really a fucking beast? Have you really tested yourself? Have you really put Everything you've worked out there in a competition status? Have you really Tested yourself and maybe done physique competitions or gone out and run an ultramarathon or a marathon or a triathlon? Or put it to a test in in a crossfit or high rocks or anything that tests you? Or Spartan run or tough mutters Everything that your strength is allowing you to do.
Speaker 1:Can you just or bench competition or you just doing it for fun, which is fine too, but See where you're at. I mean, it's so rewarding. Why? Why would I just let me give an example. Why would I just go hit off a tee or off a pitch pitching machine for the rest of my life? Don't I want to fucking play the game? Hit off a real pitcher, see if I can really hit that fastball that it moves. It's me against him and the pitcher. I don't want to just hit off a tee or soft us or a machine. I want to test it.
Speaker 1:So if you're benching, you're working on all this stuff. Go put it to the test, go do something about it. Go show yourself that you are a beast mode and see how fucking tough or how much of a beast you are against other people. And you're not doing it to compete, to compare yourself. You're doing it to see where you're at and how good you can be, how good you can be With everything you've put in the work, not how good you can be more than the other person. Have a competitive mindset for yourself. Put it into Everything that you do at the gym should also have a mindset of survival you're doing that just because, in case some shit happens in the real world, that you're able to fucking take care of yourself or take care of others, your family, test that shit and, lastly, have a driven mindset, have a mindset of purpose, of survival, a Mindset that will not quit. And how do we do that? By doing hardship, directly pleading ourselves to overcome adversity in so many different ways.
Speaker 1:I hear it all the time. People say I'm not a runner. Well, neither am. I have a short, compact, thick body that is not good for running and that is why I chose to do it. That is why I chose to go for marathons and ultra marathons and 50 miles and 100 miles, because I'm not a runner. So, do hard shit, and when you do that, you create a mindset that is unbroken, that can't be broken. Don't take the easy way. Do it the hard way, the road less traveled. Remember, stay tough, be passionate, stay driven, have a purpose and you can't be broken. I.
